Every nation is observing the progress of its economy especially when a recession or a depression occured. It is an event that happens again and again, a recurring problem, which has yet to be solved. Every day there is news of jobs lost and businesses closing. These lost
jobs and closed businesses are not being replaced by new jobs and
businesses. Unemployment is increasing.
Many years ago our situation was not like this. What has changed? Why are we heading steadily into a depression?
Many years ago our situation was not like this. What has changed? Why are we heading steadily into a depression?
An economy is not based on money or finance, though most people believe
it is. The ultimate basis of an economy is entirely physical. An economy
is ultimately based on the production of physical wealth. Without first
having adequate food and energy production, none of our other economic
activities would even be possible.
2 Tim 3:1-7 This know also, that in the last days perilous times will come. For men will be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, truce-breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying its power: from such turn away. For of this sort are they who creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts; Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Though perilous times are already happening, the great tribulation was not yet experienced by the whole world.
Mt 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as hath not been since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
The great tribulation is more horrible than this event that happened in the beginning.
2 Kings 6:28 And the king said to her, What aileth thee? and she answered, This woman said to me, Give thy son, that we may eat him to-day, and we will eat my son to-morrow.2 Kings 6:29 So we boiled my son, and ate him: and I said to her on the next day, Give thy son, that we may eat him: and she hath hid her son.
The worsening economy is just the beginning that we must endure up to the time of the end.
Jn 16:33 These things I have spoken to you, that in me ye may have peace. In the world ye will have tribulation, but be of good cheer: I have overcome the world.
Our only hope therefore is Christ whether we live or we die.
Rom 14:18 For whether we live, we live to the Lord; and whether we die, we die to the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
