I DIVORCED MY WIFE BUT I LOVE MY CHILDREN

1 Tim 3:2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

1 Tim 3:3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;

1 Tim 3:4 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;

For if a man can not rule his own house, how can he rule anything much more with the church of god.
1 Tim 3:5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)

1 Tim 3:12 Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.
It is unchristian to say that you love your Children but divorced their mother.
1 John 5:1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.

An Unforgettable Journey

Binalonan Pangasinan is my hometown. This is the place where I was born. In fact the incumbent mayor Ramon Guico Jr. is my classmate in High School.

Inset is the famous tree house located at the town park beside the municipal building. The place I frequently stayed when I was still a kid.

Binalonan is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Pangasinan, Philippines. According to the latest census, it has a population of 52,722 people in 10,184 households. This is the hometown of Evangelina de la Cruz Macaraeg Macapagal, spouse of 9th President Diosdado Macapagal, and mother of 14th President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.

My family and I occasionally travel back here to visit my loving mother. A 3 to 5 hours travel from my residence in Antipolo City depending on how many stop over you are going to make and we do a lot because of the kids.

Please pull over Dad, said my youngest daughter, I want to pee. Not here, said my Wife. I know of a nearest Gas station, turn right she said and I did.

My wife stared at me and angrily said, I told you to turn right, let's go back. OMG! why do you gave me a wife who does not know her left and right. When she said right she actually mean left. From the mirror I saw the kids laughing at the back.

Now she's really mad. I can not go back honey, it's a no u-turn slot.

An hour past and the kids are hungry. I want Mc Donald. No, I want Jolibee. No, I want Greenwich. This is not an advertisement, but we always have a contradicting taste. Sometimes we end up eating different brand depending on what food chains are present in the area.

Me? where my wife go, I go. She ask me to look for a vacant table while she do the ordering. My choice of place is not always good because by the time she finished ordering, she will settle in a new vacated table near her. She will then make a gesture sign to me meaning come sit here.

You know what? I think I am not a dog, but sometimes I fell like one. lol.

At our destination, tide turns at my favor. I am looking now at the other side of my wife who is caring and loving. Making all things ready like, coffee & breakfast, towel and garments needed when taking a bath, tooth brush & tooth paste, little things but will make your life easier while on vacation.

Is this story familiar to you? or Do you have a story to tell which makes your journey unforgettable?

  1. That is a nice story. My husband and daughter and I loved to travel by car when she was younger. She was really good and would play with her dolls and I would have little games for her. It is a good memory. The only thing that would drive my husband nuts is that I love to sleep in the car, so when our daughter fell asleep so did I. I would wake up and he would say you missed all this great scenery. I felt bad but I find it so soothing to sleep on a car ride. We had good times though. Take care

  2. Yes you're right. It is really good to sleep in a car during travel.

    It's like sleeping in a swaying hammock.

    Thanks for the post.
