Backsliders are compared to a sow, who after being declared clean, choose to return to their old place where they feel comfortable and also to a dog who eat his own vomit.

2 Pet 2:22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog [is] turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

You have a very strong appetite if you can eat your own vomit or practically swim in the mud after taking a bath. The latter made me remember , in one evening, the television episode featuring a man entering the toilet sink to help in the siphoning process. All for a measly sum of Three Hundred Pesos (php 300.00).

Prov 14:14 The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man [shall be satisfied] from himself.

Backsliders therefore has no more room for forgiveness not even permitted to make sacrifice for his sins.

Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

There are those found outside the Church to be judged by God, backsliders are not included as they are already judged inside by the Church.

1 Cor 5:12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?

1 Cor 5:13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

Therefore, what the Church declared wicked on earth shall also be considered wicked in heaven.

Matt 18:18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

1 Cor 6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

Tares

Why God won't kill the wicked is a show of his loving kindness to the righteous.

Matthew 13:27-29 So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them.

God let them grow together up to the time of harvest, for gathering the weeds early will root up the wheat along with it.

Matthew 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”

The parable was explained further by our Lord Jesus Christ.

Matthew 13:37-40 He answered and said to them: “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one. The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age.

If we only understand the meaning of this parable, who likes to be tares and be later burned in the fire. Will you?
