Sure Prophecy

The ozone layer protects the Earth from the ultraviolet rays sent down by the sun. If the ozone layer is depleted by human action, the effects on the planet could be catastrophic.

The ozone layer has been the subject of much discussion. And rightly so, because the ozone layer protects plant, animal and human life on the planet.

Ozone is a bluish gas that is formed by three atoms of oxygen. When found on the surface of the planet, it is considered a dangerous pollutant.

But these are catastrophic theories and not a sure word of prophecy.

2 Pet 1:19  We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

2 Pet 1:20  Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

2 Pet 1:21  For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

The Scripture assures us of status quo though we hear rumors of wars and uprising.

Mt 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

Mt 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

The world then perished with water but the heavens and the earth are reserved by God unto fire on the day of judgment.

2 Pet 3:7  Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

2 Pet 3:8  But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

Another example of a sure word of prophecy is this:

Dan 12:10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

The wicked can't understand but the wise can. Therefore, everything that we say, must conform with the verses of the Bible. Resorting to own interpretation is self destruction which is worst than the destruction of this world.

2 Pet 3:16  As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
