1 Kings 3:24 Then said the king, The one saith, This is my son that liveth, and thy son is the dead: and the other saith, Nay; but thy son is the dead, and my son is the living.
1 Kings 3:25 And the king said, Divide the living child in two, and give half to the one, and half to the other.
1 Kings 3:26 Then spake the woman whose the living child was unto the king, for her bowels yearned upon her son, and she said, O my lord, give her the living child, and in no wise slay it. But the other said, Let it be neither mine nor thine, but divide it.
1 Kings 3:27 Then the king answered and said, Give her the living child, and in no wise slay it: she is the mother thereof.
Here they saw King Solomon's judgment proving that the wisdom of God was in him.
It reminds me of this question asked by one of our visitors in the bible exposition.
"I am married to my mother's daughter and we have 7 children. What shall I do so that my sins be forgiven? Will I have to abandon my wife & children to become your member?"
I am expecting the answer from my Pastor to be in the affirmative but it's the other way around. He was advised not to abandon his wife & children for the sake of the eight (8) souls longing for his attentive care & protection.
1 Corinthians 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
1 Corinthians 6:10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
1 Corinthians 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
Some of us may not be like the visitor but our sins might be worst than him but we are washed and sanctified in Jesus name.
Just like one of the criminals who was hung together with Jesus.
Luke 23:42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
Luke 23:43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.
